V Colama

The last 16 to 20 September 2024, was the Fifth Latin american congress of alternative Methods to the use of experimental animals, this time organized in Colombia, this congress took place at the National University of Colombia. During the week it developed a number of courses and conferences. There were international visitors from Argentina, Brazil, Mexico, Spain, Chile, Canada, France, among others.
In this congress IntraGe International, was the sponsor of the event during the five days. In this space were discussed and gave to know the latest technologies to replace, reduce and refine the use of animals. Before the start of the conference were made different courses as pre congress, where in one of them IntraGe could be to accompany the course of Experimental Design in Animal Trials.
The conference contained a variety of topics, a focus on the alternative methods, laws, and uses of animals. The use of animal care was a very important issue and the ethical in the process. Some of the alternative methods that were a part of the lectures were use of biological tissue, tissue, glycerol, 3D printing, models, AI, three-dimensional models, models of anatomical planes, models of spinal cord, artificial insemination, Simulations, Bioimpresión, cell culture, Chip simulator of living organs, Ontology, among others.
In addition to the lectures during the week were presented papers both students of the National University, as of other international universities.
